Post Disposition Portfolio Rationalization
Investment Consulting Associates was contacted to provide additional capability and expertise in the face of a corporate restructuring. Due to a change in strategic direction, our client had decided to split two business units into separate companies. However, the two units were currently co-housed in over 50 locations across the US and dozens more around the world.
We worked with the client’s architecture and design firm to develop space and layout standards for the new business, with different size requirements by market size. We then worked with real estate professionals to identify appropriate spaces in each market and performed field work to validate each option in each market. Results and recommendations were presented to client management to aid in their efforts to secure new space for the newly independent company. Implementation is ongoing.
